A lo largo de ocho legendarias ediciones presenciales más una edición virtual, el Festival Internacional Raíces se ha consolidado como un espacio de encuentro multicultural que celebra la diversidad. Un nicho de expresión, aprendizaje y dignificación de diferentes culturas populares del mundo, convocando a una diversa comunidad artística que en cada edición ha generado un intercambio cultural lleno de alegría y potencia. Los numerosos asistentes que se han dado cita desde el año 2010 han podido disfrutar de una gran variedad de talleres formativos, muestras culturales, conferencias, obras de teatro, conciertos, jams, fandangos, dundunbas, rumbas, rodas de capoeira, entre muchas otras actividades que han dejado en cada participante experiencias memorables y enriquecedoras.
Hoy se presenta un nuevo y necesario paso evolutivo; debido a que la convocatoria de este festival ha crecido exponencialmente año tras año y que las condiciones de infraestructura en nuestra sede histórica Kumani Eco Espacio de Arte- Rancho La Olla en Zoncuantla, no son adecuadas para recibir a la gran cantidad de personas que esperamos en esta ocasión, hemos decidido cambiar la sede del evento: Hotel Chichaki Eco Resort en Apazapan, Veracruz (a cinco minutos de Jalcomulco) será el recinto de la décima edición del Festival Internacional Raíces 2024. Este, es un paraíso de clima cálido que cuenta con instalaciones idóneas para la realización de las diversas actividades, así como condiciones confortables para el alojamiento y recreación de todos los participantes.
Este año, al ser una producción autogestiva sin subsidios de ningún tipo, la decisión de si se realiza o no el Festival Internacional Raíces estará en manos de la comunidad artística; para lograrlo será necesario tener 150 personas inscritas a la fecha del 1 de mayo. El proceso de inscripción requerirá de un prepago del 50 % del costo del paquete elegido y el resto se pagará al iniciar el evento el 16 de julio. En caso que este objetivo no se cumpla, el festival tendría que ser cancelado y haríamos el reembolso total a quienes se hayan inscrito.
Tenemos la confianza en que la comunidad abrazará al proyecto y que juntos haremos que suceda. Este encuentro se ha cultivado siempre con la energía e intención colectiva, agradecemos profundamente a todas las personas que han sido parte de esta historia de alguna u otra manera. Tenemos la certeza de que espacios como éste donde se propician el arte y la cultura son de vital importancia para seguir hermanándonos y fortaleciéndonos en una gran red de colaboración. Es así que hacemos el llamado a ser parte y vivir una experiencia incomparable.

Throughout eight legendary editions and another virtual one, the Raíces International Festival has established itself as a multicultural gathering that celebrates diversity. A niche for the expression, study and appreciation of different cultures from around the world, That unites a diverse artistic community that in each edition has generated a cultural exchange full of joy and power. The numerous attendees who have participated the festival, since 2010, have been experienced a wide variety of training workshops, cultural exhibitions, conferences, theater, concerts, jams, fandangos, dundunbas, rumbas, capoeira, among many other activities, that have left each participant with memorable and enriching experiences and memories. Today, a new and necessary evolutionary step is presented; As the call for The Raices festival has been grown exponentially, year after year,
Now days, the infrastructure conditions at our historic headquarters: -Kumani Eco Espacio de Arte, Rancho La Olla in Zoncuantla- Do not fit to receive the large number of people we expect in this 10th and special edition. And so, we have decided to move the event to a new location: -Hotel Chichaki Eco Resort in Apazapan, Veracruz- (five minutes from Jalcomulco), A small paradise at warm climate, beside the river, that has ideal facilities for carrying out the various activities, concerts and workshops at the best conditions, as well as comfortable facilities for accommodation and recreation of all participants.
At this year, as it is a self-managed production without subsidies of any kind, The decision of whether or not the Raíces International Festival 10th edition will take place is in the hands of the community; To achieve the goal, and have the resource for making it happens, will be necessary to have 150 people registered by May 1. The registration process will require a prepayment of 50% of the cost of the chosen package and the rest will be paid at the start of the event, on July 16. If this objective is not met, the festival will not take place and we would make a full refund for those whom registered.
We are confident that the community will embrace the project and that together we will make it happen. This gathering has always been cultivated thanks to collective energy and intention; We deeply appreciate all the people who have been part of this story in one way or another during the years. We are certain that spaces like this festival, where art and culture are promoted, are of vital importance to continue uniting and strengthening us in a great network of collaboration.
